Privacy
What Quillmoor Journal does with the small amount of personal information it holds.
Who we are
Quillmoor Journal, PO Box 41, Castle Douglas, Dumfries and Galloway DG7 9TQ, Scotland. We are the data controller for the information described below.
The subscriber file
Name, postal address, email address where given, and the issue a subscription started. It exists to post the journal and to tell you when a subscription is due. It is held on one computer, backed up encrypted, and is not shared with anybody — not with other publications, not with birding organisations, not with anyone who has offered to buy it.
Records are deleted two years after a subscription lapses.
Contributors
Name and contact details for people who send us pieces, records or letters, held so that we can correspond about the material and credit it correctly. Correspondence is kept for five years.
Records you send us
A bird record includes a place and a date and, if we print it, your name. Records are published in the journal and in the online archive of that issue. Tell us if you would prefer a record to appear without your name.
This website
No analytics, no advertising cookies, no tracking scripts, no social media embeds. Photographs load from an external image host, which receives your IP address as part of delivering the image.
Your rights
Write to [email protected] to ask what we hold, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. We answer within a month. Complaints may be made to the Information Commissioner's Office.
